Map-maker and lithographer A. Demerssman. Large French colour lithograph linen-backed map of Indochina on wooden rollers. Two inset colour maps show population density and ethnic mix and the region as a whole in lower corners. Neat pencilled number lower right margin, neat label "Sold by Denoyer-Geppert Company Chicago" lower margin. A long closed tear extending across the right hand upper section has been neatly repaired and is now barely visible in most places. Old labels giving the name etc of the map on the reverse. Neat metal plate stating the map's ID number attached to upper roller. A good copy of a striking and unusual map. 121.5 x 100cm including wooden rollers.
Inset list at upper right is a listing of other maps published by Librarie Hatier, most being of France or other French possessions. This map is the only one in the series to cover Indochina.
