Colour folding map, scale 1: 62000, inset maps, text and a map on reverse, loosely inserted in colour light card wrapper. Some tears and a little minor loss along folds, washi repairs along folds on reverse and at spine of card wrapper. Good.

This map of Tokyo was most likely published around 1963, just before the Tokyo Olympics held in 1964. The title on the wrapper reads *Saishin Tokyo Zenzu*, although the map itself is titled *Saishin Dai Tokyo Zenzu*. During the 1960s, Tokyo was undergoing dramatic development as the nation’s capital.

The map includes inset maps of the central district, Hachioji City, Tachikawa City, and the Tama counties. On the reverse, it features the names of towns within each ward, a map of the metropolitan bus network, and a sightseeing bus schedule.
