This compilation of articles focuses on the life, military campaigns and historical significance of the Ming Dynasty general, Zheng Chenggong (sometimes referred to in English as Koxinga) who resisted the Qing Dynasty. These papers, presented at a 1962 symposium in Xiamen, commemorate the 300th anniversary of the 1662 expulsion of the Dutch colonial forces from Taiwan by Zheng Chenggong, as well as his death.
