Two attractive paper covered boxes of flashcards, one of Kanji cards and the other of Kana cards. Boxes a little sunned, first cards trifle browned but overall very good.

Two boxed collections of Japanese character flash cards (one containing kanji, and the other hiragana and katakana) for foreign learners of Japanese. The were produced by the famous educator Naganuma Naoe (1894-1973), who was renowned for his Japanese language teaching method which he began to develop in the 1920s, and which provided an introduction to Japanese for generations of foreign learners.The Kanji collection (Kanji Series 1) is dated 1958. From the collection of the Japan scholar John Caiger.
