[Singapore]. (circa 1928). Stock ID #222277 An appealing suite of twelve historic views. We have been unable to source the printer or studio, but they are likely to be after M.S. Nakajima, the influential Japanese photographer who first advertised on the island in 1911. The image of the trolleybus on New Bridge Road would date the whole compilation to around 1927. Booklet of 9 only captioned sepia postcard views, lacks 3 postcards, 15.3 x 6.1cm each perforated at margin, final card with tissue guard, versos divided in two, printed in green, with the studio reference numbers at top right, otherwise blank; original stiff attractive grey card covers, title printed in black within a foliated triple-ruled border, cover soiled and marked. A very interesting suite of views.
