A decorative Japanese interwar concertina folded travel brochure, containing a coloured bird's-eye map of Chiba Prefecture and information about scenic landmarks, beaches and guest houses. Produced at a time when seaside holidays were becoming increasingly popular in Japan, the brochure's small photos include a picture of bathers on the beach at the seaside town of Okitsu. There is also information for visitors to the temples at Narita (long before the coming of the airport). The cover has a charming design of a boat and train travelling along the coastline of China, and the rear of the brochure features a colourful advertisement of a bathing beauty touting the healing qualities of Monohana chemical bath additives.
