A colour print, black and white folding brochure, and companion envelope. The print measures 25 x 18cm; the brochure measures 21 x 10cm; the envelope measures 27 x 19cm. Envelope a little worn and marked, though all three overall in very good, crisp condition.

Souvenir ephemera collected from Eikando Zenrinji in Kyoto, the head temple of the Seizan Branch of Pure Land Buddhism. Beyond its fame as a picturesque autumn destination, Eikando Zenrinji is home to the Mikaeri Amida, reputedly a National Treasure of Japan. Unlike traditional forward-facing depictions, this statue shows Amida pausing and turning back - a poignant, and critical visual representation of the central doctrine that defines the Pure Land sect.
