Upper cover of booklet considerably foxed, stains on Plates 21, 64, and 100 but otherwise clean. Presented in a protective paper covered case with string tie and title labels on upper cover and spine browned and repaired with washi at the hinges. Good copy.

This fascinating book showcases a collection of Chinese architecture with black and white photographic illustrations as well as finely detailed illustrations widely selected throughout China. The photographic illustrations record the actual conditions of the buildings and many illustrations show fine details of some sections. As many of those buildings have either disappeared or altered since the book was first published in 1914, this book provides valuable historical architectural information. Kurata Chikatada (蔵田周忠）writes an overview of the book in an accompanying booklet, which includes a list of contents.
