Huaqing Hot Springs is a well known tourist destination located beneath Mount Li, east of Xi'an. Apart from its beautiful location, Huaqing Pool or Hot Springs is notable for two historic events: Emperor Xuanzong's romance with the famous beauty Yang Guifei - which is said to have led to the decline of the Tang Dynasty; and also the 1936 "Xi'an Incident", when the warlord Zhang Xueliang kidnapped Chiang Kai-shek and made him form a United Front with the Chinese Communist Party to oppose the Japanese. On the reverse are details about various beauty spots and buildings in the Mount Li area.
