Two Volumes, large colour folding map of Southern Tibet showing the author's route and return journey, 8 colour plates (including frontispiece in Vol II), 251 black and white plates and text illustrations (many from photographs and sketches by the author), xviii + 307pp; xiv + 250pp, original pictorial green cloth-covered boards, lettered in gilt, 23.3 x 16 cm, corners a little bumped, but the cloth in very bright condition, endpapers renewed, several leaves in the first volume unopened, and a few carelessly opened (with loss at the outer margins, text unaffected), small sealed edge and fold tears to the folding map, a handsome copy in very good condition.
