69 small black and white photos in a 36 page album, some taken in tourist destinations, others showing groups of family or friends. A few handwritten dates on tissue guards or as captions to the photographs. A small number of photos missing but the album is largely full. Presented in a silver-coloured album measuring 12.5 x 19.2cm, with debossed pictorial image of the drum dance on the upper cover. Showing signs of wear, but still intact, photographs crisp and clear.

A number of photographs appear to have been taken in well known locations in Suzhou, some in front of a typical hexagonal shaped pagoda with upturned eaves in one of the classical gardens, some in front of the Yunyan Temple Pagoda. An interesting example of a mid 1950s Chinese family photograph album.
