Two engraved maps, 23 x 34.5 cms (maps including platemark), 25.4 x 38.4 cms (sheet), inset map of the mouth of the Ganges, central folds, marginal staining, but both in very good condition.

A pair of highly detailed maps of India by the French Royal cartographer Rigobert Bonne (his predecessor was the eminent Jacques Nicolas Bellin). They were published in "Atlas de toutes les parties connues du globe terrestre" which accompanied Abbé Raynal's monumental historical work on European trade in the East Indies.
