Three volumes in mixed editions, all in the 教育部審定 series, black and white line maps throughout. Volume I: 143pp, small worm hole lower margin of just over 60 pages, some light pencilling. Volume II: 155pp. Volume III: 149pp. Text in traditional Chinese characters, Volume I measures 16.5 x 12cm, Volumes II and III measure 18 x 13.3cm, paper wrappers. Volume I: no publication details. Volume II: published in Hong Kong. Volume III: Published in Nanjing. Paper browned (with some foxing in Volume I), wrappers worn and a little stained with loss upper spine Volume I only, overall good sound volumes.

Produced for use in junior high school, these national textbooks approved by the education department were an important tool for delivering modern education in Republican China. It aimed to foster national awareness of China's place in the world.
