Just So Stories.
London. Macmillan. 1902. Stock ID #224750 A copy of the first edition, first impression, in the second issue binding, with the more durable white pigment used for the lettering and decoration. The white blocking on the first issue binding was notoriously prone to flaking and was replaced early in the binding process with a more stable pigment; copies such as this, in which the white lettering and decoration remain well preserved, are consequently described as being in the second issue binding. Both cloth bindings were used for copies of the first impression. When referring to this item please quote stockid 224750.
