Vintage pair of traditional hand-embroidered shoes. The heavily satin-stitched embroidered upper features floral and bird motifs and a pink silk binding along the collar, and an upturned point at the toebox, the sole is thick hand-sewn hide, 27 x 9.5cm, some signs of wear and light fading, but in very good condition overall.

Purchased from markets in Kunming in 1997.
