Large format albumen print photograph, 21.7 x 28 cm, captioned and signed in the negative, mounted on an album leaf (browning, tear at the foot not affecting the image), 26.5 x 35 cm, the head of the photograph a trifle foxed, but with good tone.

Scarce example of Hippolyte Arnoux's work, who worked on the project document works on the Suez Canal. He was one of the the first commercial photographers to produce large scale images of Egypt.
