Large format albumen print photograph, 22 x 28 cm, captioned and signed in the negative, mounted on an album leaf (browned and spotted), 26.5 x 35 cm, the head of the photograph a trifle foxed, but with good tone.

Attractive large format photograph likely from a souvenir album by the Zangazi brothers, the Greek brothers who were among the first commercial photographers to produce large scale images of Egypt. Along with with the Hippolyte Arnoux, they exhibited their work at the Universal Exhibition held in Paris in 1889.
