Afternoon Tea with Xinran!

At 3pm on Tuesday May 26 we offer you a rare opportunity to meet well known Chinese journalist and author Xinran.

Xinran will be visiting Australia to talk about her latest book "Buy Me the Sky. The Remarkable Truth of China's One-Child Generations".

Buy Me the Sky is another VERY thought provoking book from Xinran. Some of Xinran's best selling earlier books include The Good Women of China, Sky Burial, China Witness and Message from an Unknown Chinese Mother.

Xinran will be joining us for afternoon tea between 3pm and 4pm on Tuesday May 26th and we hope you can join us too! The format for the afternoon will be different from our usual events. Xinran will talk about Buy Me the Sky for a few minutes and then be available to sign books and mingle with us.

As you may be aware Xinran has spoken twice before at Asia Bookroom and if you were lucky enough to be present for either or both of these talks you will know that she is, well, WONDERFUL! She is fascinating, insightful, highly intelligent and has enormous empathy for the lives of the people whose stories she tells. Don't miss afternoon tea with Xinran at Asia Bookroom on May 26th.
